Howard McHenry’s diversified experience in community, civic and business – both locally and nationally – has resulted in a successful working relationship with communities all over the country.

McHenry served two terms as mayor of Harrisonville, Missouri. During his tenure Harrisonville experienced rapid growth. Projects included revitalization, new airport, new shopping centers, additional industry, commercial business and major residential expansion.

A former Buick, Pontiac, Jeep and Chrysler automobile dealer, McHenry has more than 30 years experience in the automotive business. McHenry served as Shrine Potentate in Kansas City, Missouri; President, Kansas City Chiefs Club; President, Harry S. Truman Air Force Association; district chairman for Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed national exposure with a Dixieland Band he directed.

McHenry founded CITYMARK in 1985 for the purpose of assisting towns and rural communities with their needs. He has conducted economic development evaluation projects and training programs throughout the U.S. and Canada. McHenry is author of “Small Town America Community Development” and “Modernize to Recovery”.

Howard served the International Shriners as administrator for Temple Review and Counsel Program. In 2007, McHenry received the exceptional lifetime achievements award, the Imperial Potentate Award of Merit, the highest honor in the Shrine fraternity. McHenry is author of “Ways to Win” book, a personal account of leadership, service and vision.

He has three adult children and four grandchildren. Howard and his wife Joyce reside in Raymore, Missouri.
